Peter Erskine (US), b. June 5, 1954, was part of Hans Ulrik's JAZZPAR 99 Combo.

   The drummer and bandleader, Peter Erskine, began his career at the age of 18 with the Stan Kenton Orchestra. Since then he has worked among others with Weather Report/Update, Steps, Steps Ahead, the big bands of Maynard Ferguson, Bob Mintzer and Pat Williams, and with Bass Desires.
   Erskine loves to work in various musical settings and dexterously mixes influences from bebop with funk, rock and you-name-it styles. He can handle any musical situation from powerful complexity to subtle sophisticated gentleness. Erskine appears on around 300 albums!
